Rielli multimedia filters are used to remove particles in the water. The particles are eliminated by inserting into the body of multiple layers with different granulometry values.
Rielli multimedia filters provide the most appropriate solution for different capacities and speeds, fulfilling your requirement of filtration. With their convenient operation and service support, they operate for optimum time.
Selection of Equipment
Parameters affecting efficiency of the multimedia filter are proper bearing for filter body and correct selection of surface speed. A multimedia filter having a good bearing and a surface speed properly selected for the pollution load has filtration sensitivity below 15-20 microns. When determining the filtration speed, the physical and chemical characteristics of the water should be taken into consideration. While maximum speed of 40m3/m2/h is selected for filtration of city mains water, filtration speed varies between 15m3/m2/h and 30m3/m2/h for the well waters depending on their pollution load. When filtration of the well waters is designed, it should be taken into consideration that the physical and chemical characteristics of the water may be affected by many parameters such as seasonal characteristics, dynamic level of the well and the time when the well has been developed last. For the multimedia filter which is installed before the reverse osmosis units, average surface speed of 10m3/m2/h should be taken for multimedia filter.
Removing the solid substances in the water, the multimedia filter has a secondary task to protect the equipment to be deployed before it. As the load to other treatment units shall be minimized in a well-filtered system, the service life of the equipment is extended and efficiency improved.
Operating Way of the Multimedia Filter
Multimedia filters operate full automatically without need of human intervention. Back washing term is 20 minutes.
Filter Bodies
Filter bodies are of fiberglass having special mixture. They are tested under 16 bars. Operating pressure is 10 bars.
Control Mechanism
Full-automatic mechanical valves are used on the equipment. Surface of the valves which is in contact with water is brass and other parts are plastic. The filters enter into back washing under time control. Maximum service temperature at which the valves may be used is 50oC. Operating pressures of the valves are 1.8 – 8.8 bars. |
