Osmosis is an event of equalization of ion-exchange via osmic pressure of two solutions which feature different exchange of ions with a semi-permeable membrane in-between. In order to reverse this event, when a pressure greater than osmic pressure is applied by a pump, the semi-permeable membrane on which there are pores in size of 5 Angstroms allows passage of pure water only and retains bacteria, pyrogens, organic substances, suspended solid substances, melted salts, nitride, aluminum and heavy metals. No other process than Reverse Osmosis may retain all foreign materials in the water as efficient as Reverse Osmosis.
